Sit-at-home: Recorded 100% Compliance across Biafra Land - IPOB

The Indigenous People Of Biafra(IPOB), has said that the sit-at-home order has registered complete 100% Compliance in the whole of Southeastern part of Nigeria. Eco City Reporters had gathered that during the sit-at-home, banks, schools, markets, shops were shut down. Vehicular and foot Movements was also restricted as everywhere remained deserted. Speaking further the group commended the people of Eastern region including the governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa for responding positively to the just concluded Heroes day and Sit-at-home order. We will avenge the death of all Herdsmen in South-East

An umbrella body of herdsmen in Nigeria, the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, has said that the group would avenge the death of those Fulani Herdsmen. The group urged security agencies to deal with “terrorists killing” Fulani herders in the South-East. Spokesman for the group, Saleh Alhassan, disclosed this while reacting to the killing of one of the commanders of Indigenous People of Biafra gunned down by security operatives last Saturday. Police operatives and their counterparts from the Nigerian Army and Department of State Services had killed an IPOB leader, one Commander Ikonso and six other militia members in Imo state. The IPOB men, who were members of the secessionist group’s security arm, the Eastern Security Network, were killed during an early morning raid on their hideout at Awomama village, Oru East Local Government Area of the state last week. IPOB has since threatened “madness”, saying the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, will “pay dearly” for the killing of its commander. B

President-General, of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Nnia Nwodo has said he did not collected N6.2 billion from President Muhammadu Buhari to implement the Federal Government’s RUGA programme in the South-East. He stated this in a press release signed and issued to journalists by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Emeka Attamah, on Friday. According to Nwodo, he was neither a traditional ruler nor governor in the South-East, as such, he had no land in his custody to offer for RUGA.
