Breaking: High Tension Erupts Akwa-Ibom as Unknown gunmen resumes operation, attacks Police Station, Many injured -Report




 
Three police officers were injured when unidentified gunmen attacked Udung Uko Divisional Police Headquarters in Akwa Ibom State, southern Nigeria.

No lives were lost in the attack which, according to state police public relations officer, SP Odiko MacDon, occurred overnight.

 The unidentified gunmen opened fire on the station, forcing the duty officers to flee, Sources told Gazette Africa.
 
“They came with Sienna and heavy weapons. The police here fled because there was a lot of gunfire,” he said.

One resident, Udo Umoh, who also confirmed the attack, said “no policemen were killed and they did not burn the police station”.
