Sit-at-home: Recorded 100% Compliance across Biafra Land - IPOB

The Indigenous People Of Biafra(IPOB), has said that the sit-at-home order has registered complete 100% Compliance in the whole of Southeastern part of Nigeria. Eco City Reporters had gathered that during the sit-at-home, banks, schools, markets, shops were shut down. Vehicular and foot Movements was also restricted as everywhere remained deserted. Speaking further the group commended the people of Eastern region including the governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa for responding positively to the just concluded Heroes day and Sit-at-home order. The Media and Publicity Secretary For IPOB, Comrade Emma Powerful, made this known in a press release on Monday Evening. No One Has The Right To Ban Open Grazing, Without Creating Alternatives For Herders — Adamu Garba

Adamu Garba has spoken about the ban on open grazing, he said that no one has the exclusive right to place a ban on open grazing without properly creating reasonable alternatives such as ranching or industrial herding for the people who are being banned.  He further said that he supports the decision made by the Presidency. Adamu Garba also said that banning open grazing without creating alternatives such as ranching would not solve any problem at all. He noted that will only give political succour but will never be a lasting solution for the crises between herdsmen and farmers and. Adam Garba has said that if southern governors want to bring to an end the crises between farmers and herdsmen, then they should create alternatives for herdsmen such as ranching and industrial herding since that would be the only way to make sure herders do not move their herds into privately owned farms.

BREAKING: Unknown gunmen Kills 5 soldiers in Imo

  Five soldiers are said to have been shot dead along Wetheral Road Owerri in Imo State as unknown gunmen attacked the area. The incident happened in the late hours of Friday. This is coming few days before the May 30th seat-at-home order given by the leader of Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, in commemoration of the Biafra Day. According to an eyewitness, the bandits took the soldiers unaware and opened fire on them, killing five at a spot. “Right now, five soldiers have been shot dead. Everyone is on the run. Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Thursday, cautioned people of the Southeast against flouting the May 31st sit-at-home order. Kanu cautioned that anyone found flouting the order should blame themselves for whatever happens. JUST IN: Lagos police Command dismisses reports that police station was Burnt

  The Lagos State Police Command has dismissed reports that a provincial police station was set on fire by criminals on Monday, May 24. A statement from state police spokesman CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi said some of the robbers tried to burn Oke Odo's unit but were fired, but 12 people were arrested. Adejobi, while dismissing reports of the attack, said no lives had been lost during the failed attack on the police station.   Adejobi added that the order restored normalcy in Elemoro where another group of hoodlums tried to burn down a new police station set up by Area J Command, Ajah, and the Elemoro Division of the Command in connection with a fatal crash case recorded in the area on Monday.   The Commissioner of Police, Lagos Region, has deployed adequate staff to the areas. The Chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in Kogi State, Alhaji Wakili Damina, has been abducted. The state Secretary of MACBAN, Mr Adamu Abubakar, told newsmen in Lokoja on Tuesday that Damina was abducted on April 30 by some armed men dressed in army camouflage. NIN Registration: Govt extends Date Till June 30

Nigerian government has extended the ongoing national identification number (NIN) and subscriber identity module (SIM) integration exercise till June 30. Isa Pantami, minister of communications and digital economy, announced this in a statement jointly signed by Ikechukwu Adinde, director of public affairs and Kayode Adegoke, head of corporate communications at the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC). This is coming few days before the May 6 deadline earlier announced. The NIN extension was granted based on stakeholders’ request and in order to give Nigerians more time to register. So far 54 million Nigerians with an estimated 190 million mobile numbers have obtained their NIN. Unknown gunmen have unleashed a fresh attack in Akwa Ibom State As they destory facilities at DSS office. It was gathered that the incident which occurred early hours of Sunday, May, 2, 2021, also saw facilities at the DSS office located close to the INEC office destroyed. The Resident Electoral Commissioner for Akwa Ibom State, Mr Mike Igini, who said he received the information Sunday morning, however, noted that he could not yet ascertain whether the perpetrators are still the same members of Eastern Security Network (ESN) that have been allegedly attacking police facilities and killing the officers in the local government area. “In any case, our office is very close to the DSS office. The DSS office was also attacked but it was not burnt down. So We don’t really know the main target. Investigation is still going on”, Igini said.

Breaking: Tears In Benue as Herdsmen attack community, 11 persons feared dead

Gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen have attacked the Tse Amgbem community near Aondoana in Gwer West Local Government Area of Benue State killing 11 residents. DAILY POST learnt that the assailants invaded the community on Monday morning. The state’s Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO DSP Anene Sewuese Catherine was unable to take her calls and could not respond to text messages forwarded to her as at press time. However, an eye witness told DAILY POST correspondent that 11 persons were killed while others sustained different degree of injuries. He noted that the community has been deserted for fear of another attack. DAILY POST reports that the state has in recent times witnessed several attacks by the suspected Fulani herdsmen as over 600,000 citizens have been sacked from their ancestral homes.

The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has called on those clamouring for the disintegration of Nigeria to let go of the idea.   The leader of the Ilana Omo Odua, emeritus Prof. Banji Akintoye, has said the agitation for Yoruba self-determination cannot be stopped either by anybody. Akintoye said this in a statement on Sunday by the Media and Communications Secretary of the group, Mr Maxwell Adeleye. Yoruba nation agitators had on Saturday defied the police clampdown to stage their rally in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital. Director-General, SSS, Yusuf Bichi Director-General, SSS, Yusuf Bichi The State Security Service (SSS) says it is hunting down Nigerians railing against the nationwide chaos experienced under President Muhammadu Buhari’s regime. Corroborating the regime’s concerted campaign to suppress voices critical of it, the SSS said, “Recently, the Service invited and cautioned some persons who deniably recounted (sic) their earlier statements or said they were quoted out of context. “The public should be wary of such individuals and their co-travellers who, incite them in the open but, turn in the secret to retrieve their words after they had caused the damage.” The SSS revealed this in a statement on Sunday in Abuja. Recently, the SSS has been hunting down vocal critics of Mr Buhari, including journalists (like Agba Jalingo) in the name of national security in a bid to silence them.
