SHOCKING!!! Man surfaces, Claims ownership of IPOB

Allegdly, Barrister Emeka Emekesiri founded IPOB sometime in 2004 before Nnamdi Kanu hijacked the group from him and other elders.

In an interview with junglejournalists, an online media platform, Emeka described himself as a Barrister & Solicitor, Estate Surveyor & Valuer, Management Consultant and a Missionary Pastor.

According to him, he hails from Okwara Unegbu Village, Amucha in Imo State.

When asked about the formation of IPOB, he said it began in 2004 when the Federal Government arrested Ralph Uwazuruike of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB; Asari Dokubo of the Niger Delta Volunteer Force, NDVF; and Dr Gani Adams and Dr Frederick Fasehun of the Odua People’s Congress, OPC.

He said when the others were freed and Uwazuruike wasn’t, he moved a Motion in the Igbo Lawyers Assembly, for Igbo Lawyers and the whole Igbo Nation to commence a legal battle against the Federal Government.

According to him, he eventually became a champion of the Igbo course and gathered “some of the willing and fearless Elders of Igboland together and constituted them into a governing council under Customary Law known as Council of Elders of Indigenous People of Biafra of which His Royal Majesty, the Hon Justice Eze Ozobu, was the Chairman while Dr Dozie Ikedife was the Deputy Chairman. Col Joe Achuzia was the Secretary-General.”

“This was how the whole Movement of Indigenous People of Biafra started” he added.

He however noted that he only coined the name becouse Biafran people existed for decades before then.

Emeka added that it was Dr Dozie Ikedife who abbreviated the name to IPOB in 2013 and it was a name for a nation not some cult or terrorists.

He said Nnamdi Kanu was not there at the inception and only joined the group from MASSOB sometimes later and was placed in charge of the media department.

In this capacity, he received IPOB documents thereby paving the way for his eventual take over.

According to him Kanu later took the name IPOB and “registered it in the Companies House in London called it Indigenous People of Biafra Limited and started calling the initial IPOB elders names such as saboteurs, traitors, and agents of the Nigerian Government.

Eventually Kanu “brainwashed the youths and took them away from us” he said.
