Boko Haram and its leader, Shekau must be crushed and wiped off - Fani-Kayode

Former aviation minister, Femi Fani Kayode has reacted to the death of farmers in Maiduguri, Borno state slaughtered by Boko Haram.

Recall, it was earlier reported that 43 farmers where massacred and beheaded at Maiduguri by Suspected Boko Haram members.

In reaction to the killings, the Politician noted that as far as Nigeria is concerned, that the leader of Boko Haram and it's members are the worst nightmare Nigerians ever heard.

Further noting, Fani-Kayode on his Twitter page added that "They must be crushed and wiped off the surface of the earth," described the act as "astounding."

He wrote: "The killing of 43 farmers by Boko Haram represents a new low in the barbarity and savagery of this evil terrorist group. Boko Haram and its leader Abubakar Shekau are the greatest plague that has ever afflicted the Nigerian landscape. They must be CRUSHED and wiped off the face of the earth!

"110 Nigerians had their throats slit and heads chopped off in a few hours and in a single location?

"The enormity of this atrocity is simply astounding and it beggars belief.

"Their killers then lay them in lines on the floor with their heads on their stomachs? This is  evil.

"We need to declare a state of emergency in some states. If this barbaric atrocity by BH been been committed in the south the whole country and international community would have been up in arms. Yet it has happened in Borno and the outrage and disgust that has been expressed is minimal. Are we no longer one nation? Are some lives more important than others? Each time anyone, no matter where they come from in our country, is butchered it kills a part of each and everyone of us. 110 heads chopped off and few seem to care?Enough of this madness! Something must give!

"Whether it was 43 or 110 farmers that were killed,it's not a good defence to say they were murdered because they did not get permission to farm. Every Nigerian, whether Northern or Southern, has a right to life and deserves to be protected regardless of their occupation or trade."
