IPOB Mgbidi Zone In Awgu Local Government Area, Enugu State, Inaugurated

Mgbidi, an autonomous indigenous community in Awgu local government area of Enugu State, is encircled by mountainous hills and vast land of vegetations. It is the country home of the Chief Mobilization Officer of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), in the State.

The mobilization drive in this vicinity recorded a large number of people who got admitted into the IPOB family. This effort paved the way for the creation of a zone which for month, hosted meetings prior to it’s eventual inauguration. This was officially took place on Friday 11th October 2019. The event was colourfully successful through the examplery efforts and dedication to duty, by the Enugu State Chief Mobilization Officer and the Awgu West District Officers. The inauguration also witnessed the appointment of the new Zonal Coordinator and Executives for the running of it’s affairs.

Some members who expressed joy and satisfaction on the event, could not hide their gratitude for joining the IPOB family as established in Mgbidi. Some elders who were equally part of the occasion proudly stated that by the reason of the encouraging information received about IPOB, they are quite hopeful that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, will victoriously through this global movement, restore Biafra. It was also revealed by the newly inaugurated zonal members that since the history of the community, the establishment of the IPOB family happens to be the greatest achievement ever, despite the deception, lies and futile promises of corrupt politicians.

The zonal coordinator, Mazi Sopuruchi Ubah duly appreciated the encouraging turn out of the indigenous community members. He equally enjoined them to keep faith with the Biafra restoration project amongst other expectations and commitments. All indigenes both resident at home and in the diaspora were encouraged to fully throw their weight behind the IPOB championed Biafra restoration struggle. It should also be stated here that some Mgbidi indigenes living outside the community also graced the occasion.
