The All Progressives Congress, APC, has denied spreading the 2023 campaign posters of its members, noting that the circulation was the handiwork the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. The party through its spokesman, Lanre Issa-Onilu told journalists on Thursday, that it was a new strategy adopted by PDP to distract the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari. Recall that the posters of the National Leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole and the Kaduna State Governor, Nasiru El-Rufai have since stormed the internet, and triggered questions from intra-and inter-party members. The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday boasted that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and its candidate for the 2019 presidential election, Atiku Abubakar, will still lose the election petition case they took to the Supreme Court. This claim was made by the APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu in a press conference at the party’s national headquarters. The party also reacted to the claim by the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) that Federal Government has ordered onslaught against judges in Nigeria in form of a request from the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU) that all banks release details of bank accounts of all justices of the Supreme Court. Femi Fani-Kayode, former Aviation Minister, on Friday urged Nigerians to pray for the co-convener of RevolutionNow movement, Omoyele Sowore and former National Security Adviser, NSA, Sambo Dasuki. He made the appeal while condemning the continued detention of Sowore by the Department of State Services, DSS, despite court order granting him bail. Fani-Kayode said the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government has proven that it can “do anything they want, to anybody, for any reason and at any time” with Sowore’s continued detention. Reno Omokri, a former presidential aide, has said that he will not sit idly and allow an unelected cabal disgrace vice-president Yemi Osinbajo. This is connection to the purported face-off between a cabal in President Muhammadu Buhari’s government and the Vice President  over alleged plans to whittle down Osinbajo’s powers  in the presidency, because of some decisions he made when he was in charge in 2017 and 2018. Alhaji  Saidu Mohammed , spokesman for the service, disclosed this while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kano on Wednesday. Mohammed said that the victims included a 2 year-old baby girl. “We received a distress call in the early hours of Wednesday from one Malam Mudassir Abdullahi at about 3:57 a.m. that there was a fire outbreak at a dwelling house. “Upon receiving the information, we quickly dispatched a fire engine to the scene at about 4:08 a.m., to bring the fire under control,’ ’ he said. He gave the names of the victims as- Malam  Aminu Bala , 50,  Rukkaiya Aminu , 30, and  Aisha Aminu , 2. Mohammed, however, said that the remains of the victims were taken to the Murtala Muhammed Specialist Hospital, Kano, where doctors confirmed them dead.
