Breaking: Buhari Arrives Japan As Chinese people welcomes him, face of the president, Nigerians in Japan nowhere to be found.

President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived at Haneda Airport in Yokohama, Japan for the seventh Tokyo International Conference on African Development.

The conference themed ‘Africa and Yokohama, Sharing Passion for the Future’, will take place in the city of Yokohama from August 28 till August 30, 2019.

President Buhari is expected to drive for few minutes before he arrives at the Park Royal Hotel reserved for Heads of state and government attending the conference.

It is expected to focus on Africa’s “economic transformation and improvements in business environment and institution through private investment and innovation; promotion of resilient and sustainable African society for human security; and peace and stability in support of Africa’s domestic proactive efforts.”

The President is accompanied by Governors of Kwara, Borno, and Lagos states for the conference.

Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, had earlier on Friday said the President’s participation would be his second, having attended TICAD6 in Nairobi, Kenya, in August 2016.

President Buhari would deliver Nigeria’s Statement during Plenary Session Three in which he would appraise Nigeria-Japan relations and takeaways from TICAD6.
