Kalabari National Assembly has declared its support for Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the indigenous peoples of Biafra, in the struggle for the actualization of the sovereign state of Biafra.

In a statement received by Southern Dailies, the spokesman for the group, Atiemie Boma Princewill, said that in the pursuit for the “lost sovereignty of the Kalabari state,” the group decided to partner with other groups with similar aims and objectives.

The group said: “Having realize that we cannot achieve our set goals as a people hereby decides to partner with other groups with similar aims and objectives to form the Biafra natonal Council as a collective conference and representatives of various nations that were part of the sovereign state of Bafra that was declared on the 30th of May 1967”.

“From this day henceforth we will commence the full mobilization of our people with the full aim of achieving the independence of the sovereign state of Biafra.”
