Buhari Cannot Win, He has Failed Already —PDP Spokesman

The National Publicity Secretary and Director, Media & Publicity PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation, Kola Ologbodiyan, assesses the chances of his party in the coming presidential election.

THE chances of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are very bright. Let’s start from the North-Central; I cannot remember the number of votes the North-Central gave Buhari in 2015 but there were those who made it happen. Those who made those votes happen, today, are in the PDP. DR Bukola Saraki is out of it [APC]; he was one of them. In Benue, Governor Samuel Ortom was one of them and today, he is in the PDP. I can go on and on. The alliance that cuts across the federation and gave victory to Buhari, the former leaders of this nation are completely out of the APC.

If you go to the North-West, in Sokoto, Governor Aminu Tambuwal was one of the forces that generated the success of Buhari, but he’s no longer with them. If you go to Zamfara, the APC doesn’t have candidates in Zamfara, they don’t even have a candidate as we speak. If you go to Katsina today, you will marvel at what is happening. All the people who gathered the votes are out of it. In Kano, the APC had Rabiu Kwankwaso in 2015 but he is with the PDP today. They (APC) have held their rally; you will see the impact of Kwankwaso when we hold our rally in Kano.

In the North-East, even some of the people that they believe are working for them will work against them in the election. So, when you look at it generally, President Muhammadu Buhari, out of his incompetence and lack of capacity to govern the nation, given the hunger and deprivation, the bloodletting, the banditry that have occurred under his administration, has done the people a great disservice and I can assure you that the PDP will win this election.

In the South-South and South-East, the structure of the PDP is intact, strong and solid. If you recall, they tried some disinformation to say some governors are not working with the party, but we knew it was all by bunkum. Every governor will work with the party and every governor is working with the party. And I’m sure if you have been following our rallies, whether in Imo State, Asaba in Delta state, in Anambra state, in Akwa Ibom, all these have demonstrated to Nigerians that the south remains with the PDP.

In the South-West, the anger is growing by the day against the powers that be that have failed the people and failed woefully. So, as we speak today, Nigerians have discovered that President Muhammadu Buhari is not just lacking in competence and capacity, he does not have a demonstrable strength to win this election.
