A Wikipedia page on Lazy Nigerian
Youths has appeared, following President
Buhari’s controversial remarks in London
- According to the page, the Lazy Nigerian
Youths is 'a social media revolt by Nigerian
youths against their president'
- The page pointed out that Buhari said a

state
A new dimension has emerged in the
controversy concerning President
Muhammadu Buhari’s comments about
Nigerian youths in London, as a Lazy
Nigerian Youths Wikipedia page has
now appeared.
At the Commonwealth Business Forum,
President Muhammadu Buhari stated:
“More than 60 percent of the population
is below 30. A lot of them haven’t been to
school and they are claiming that
Nigeria is an oil producing country,
therefore, they should sit and do nothing,
and get housing, healthcare, education
free.”

NAIJ.com notes that the comment did not
go down well with many young
Nigerians who translated the comment
to mean that the president was
referring to them as being lazy. The
controversy then birthed the
#LazyNigerianYouths trend on Twitter.
Wikipedia described the Lazy Nigerian
Youths as “a social media revolt by
Nigerian youths against their president,
Muhammadu Buhari.”

It went further: “While speaking at the
Commonwealth Business Forum in
Westminster in April Buhari said a lot of
Nigerian youths have not been to school
and they want everything free because
the country is an oil producing state.
“But the Nigerian youths will not have
any of it as they soon took to social
media to protest against the comment of
the number one citizen of the country.”

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously
reported that a hardworking female
graduate took to social media to call out
President Muhammadu Buhari for
accusing Nigerian youths of being lazy .
The young lady identified as Adebisi
Aderonke on Facebook, disclosed that
she is a business owner and not lazy as
the president claimed. Aderonke added
that she is also a graduate of Tai Solarin
University of Education.
