Trump to Buhari: America won’t accept killing of Christians in Nigeria

President Donald Trump of the United States has told President Muhammau Buhari that his country will not accept the killing of Christians. The American leader said this while playing host to his Nigerian counterpart at the White House on Monday. “We have had very serious problems with Christians who are being murdered in Nigeria, we are going to be working on that problem very, very hard because we cannot allow that to happen,” Trump said. On his part, Buhari said is working hard to address the problem. He also thanked the US government for approving the sale of military hardware to Nigeria. The clash between farmers and herdsmen took a different dimension when gunmen invaded a Catholic church in Benue state last week. Two priests and 17 worshippers were shot dead. Condemning the attack the Pope prayed for Christians while conducting a mass in Rome on Sunday. The country home of the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Nnia John Nwodo at Ukehe in Enugu State has been bombed. A source who confirmed this to The News Cable said that an Improvised Explosive Device was thrown into his house by unknown persons from outside his compound. Nyong'o who is a United State based Kenyan shared a photo she took with Gurira upon their arrival in Lagos state. She revealed that they were both in Nigeria for a girls trip. The young actress who has won numerous awards played, Nakia, the love interest of lead actor Chadwick Boseman who played the king of fictional country Wakanda. Gurira played Okoye who was the general of an all-female warrior army. After Nyong'o shared her photo, many Nigerians shared their excitment, including those who are based in the US. Champions League: Isco, Carvajal out against Bayern —Zidane

Real Madrid are set to be without both Isco and Dani Carvajal for the second leg of their Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich next Tuesday, coach Zinedine Zidane confirmed on Friday. Isco-Zidane “It is always annoying to lose two players but there is nothing we can do, that is how it is,” said Zidane at a press conference ahead of his side’s home clash with Leganes in La Liga on Saturday. Both players came off injured during Real’s 2-1 win in Munich on Wednesday. Real confirmed that Isco has a shoulder sprain and right-back Carvajal has an injury to his left hamstring, although they did not specify how long either player will be missing. Lagos govt announce restriction of movement for the construction of Pen cinema flyover

In its efforts to deliver the Pen Cinema Flyover on schedule, The Lagos State Government on Friday announced that there would be further restriction of vehicular movement at the Agege Intersection between Railway crossing and Church Street along Agunbiade Street in Agege. In a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, the Government said that due to the restriction, vehicles coming from Ipaja road towards Ogba would no longer be able to turn left at Oke- Koto, but will be required to straight towards Agege Motor road and take left turn to connect the alternative route beside Agege Post Office to link Moshalashi Alhaji and further their journey. The statement also advised motorists coming from Old Abeokuta Motor Road (Abule Egba) towards Oke-Koto/Alfa Nla roads to turn right at Abattoir into Oko-Oba road to link Orile Road and further their journey to NITEL into Orile road and then turn into Fagbola/Adejobi Street to navigat

A Federal High Court Sitting in Anambra State has granted Bail to an IPOB Coordinator who was illicitly abducted in his Shop, on the 13th day of November by Awkuzu SARS Anambra. The victims shop was ransacked and on sighting IPOB Banners and "No Election In Anambra Flyers", he was abducted and kept incommunicado, with severe torture, that affected his right eye. The victim who was severely tortured at the dreaded Awkuzu Saars  Torture Chambers, was arraigned in Federal High Court Anambra State and charged for; (i)Treasonable Felony (ii)Belonging to an unlawful organization (iii)Use of Explosives The Court ordered he should be remanded in Amowbia Prisons with the badly injured Eye. The Super Eagles would be up against the Three Lions of England at Wembley Stadium on June 2, in one of their warm- up matches ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. Prophet Nnamdi Kanu Has Predicted That Buhari Will Usher In Biafra – IPOB

They also said that their leader, Nnamdi Kanu, who they referred to as the great prophet of our time, had predicted that Buhari would usher in Biafra and that their time was almost here. U.S. Accuses FG Of Failing To Stop Human Rights Abuses In Nigeria

The United States Government has released a report, accusing the Nigerian Government of failing to adequately investigate widespread human rights abuses and impunity in the country or punish those responsible for the abuses. In its Country Report on Human Rights Practices For 2017, the U.S. State Department said although the Federal Government took steps to investigate alleged abuses, it took fewer steps to prosecute officials who committed violations, whether in the security forces or elsewhere in the government. “Impunity remained widespread at all levels of government,” the report said. “The government did not adequately investigate or prosecute most of the major outstanding allegations of human rights violations by the security forces or the majority of cases of police or military extortion or other abuse of power.” The most significant human rights issues in Nigeria in 2017, according to the report, included extrajudicial and arbitrary killings; disappearances and arbitrary

The Convener of South-East Elders Forum, SEEF, and former President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Dr Dozie Ikedife, has said he is not bothered about an Igbo man becoming Nigeria’s President in 2019 or after. Ikedife said what bothered him was how the Biafran State could be realized, adding that the Igbo had been victims of unfulfilled promises in the past. Speaking with the Sun over the weekend, Ikedife said, “There are so many unfulfilled promises and our people often fall victims to lies. “If someone has deceived you for about two or three times, if he comes the fourth time you will have a second thought. One is just tired of this country.” “What bothers me is how to realise Biafra through legal and diplomatic processes, and through dialogue without fighting or abusing anybody.
